I wasn’t a big George Carlin fan but recently we watched his HBO special and I thought he was pretty funny. Anyways, I found this quote from him awhile ago but wasn’t sure what to do with it until now. Thought it was a good time since he just passed away. So I played around with it and here’s what I got.. Today I took a Back to Basic Stamping class that was given by a local rubber stamping store. I’ve always collected rubber stamps because they were cool but never really knew what to do with them. All the different inks and papers always overwhlemed me and I didn’t know what to use with what. So this class sounded perfect to go over the basic of rubber stamping. Well the class was great and now I want to stamp! We learned about dyes, inks, paper and the coolest technique – heat embossing. I came home tonight and bought online with a coupon a heating tool. LOL! I’m even thinking of taking another class this Thursday night to really apply what I learned because I know if I don’t do something with the knowledge I have I’ll forget it. Least this will put all the cool stamps I’ve been collecting over the years to good use and out of the boxes I’ve hid them in.
I’m going to try to do some more hands on crafts instead of all digital stuff. I was going through boxes this weekend and found lots of artwork I did in college and high school. So much of it was mixed media and really cool. I’m going to try to have some fun creating things and not stress over it. Well TRY is the key word.
Anyways, I’m off to bed now to get ready for Monday and the new week.

Spotted Maura Tierney coming out of the Apple Store on my way home tonight. Wasn’t sure it was her but then I heard her unmistakable voice and knew it was the one and only. I was pretty excited about this sighting since I consider her my “twin”. Well I used to when I was skinner. LOL! Anyways, several people told me in the past that I resembled her so since then I’ve considered her my doppelganger and now I finally saw her!!
I’m back in town and back to the grind. Going away is nice but it’s nice being back in my own bed. It’s funny cause this weekend I wasn’t on the computer much and felt so creative. I had all these ideas and jotted some stuff down and now that I’m back I’m feeling blocked. I think the mountain air in the Pocono Mountains helped stimulate my creative thoughts. Hopefully I can put it all to good use soon. Anyways, went to Walmart too for a spending spree. Although I really did reserve myself, which I’m proud of. LOL! I’ll be back soon. Happy belated Father’s Day to all the dads out there!

I know it’s close to Father’s Day but I have in the store some card templates. Pick them up on sale before Sunday to make Dad the perfect card!

Happy Birthday to our nephew Jackson who turns 4 today! I can’t believe it’s been 4 years already. Look how tiny he was and now he’s all grown up. Awwwww! And a belated birthday shout out to my cousin and goddaughter Kayla who’s 2nd birthday was Saturday. I’ll post the cutiest picture of her tomorrow =)
I’m going to be out of town this weekend but if you are in the NYC area there is the Renegade Craft Festival in Brooklyn. Seems like it will be fun and lots of vendors.
