Random Act of Kindness

I’ve been cleaning out my scrappin stash and I have for one lucky person a hodge podge of goodies to send ya. Leave a comment and I’ll pick a random winner. And for a limited time only grab my new paper pack, So Boho for free. Hurry cause I don’t know when I’ll take it down and put it in the store! =)

3 States in 1 Day

Bad blogger the past few days. Been lazy and then busy on Monday. Was in Albany for the day visiting my friend Dan. He is moving to Virginia soon so I wanted to see him before he leaves. Fast trip just for the day but we did manage to get to Massachusetts to check out the museum there. On the way there we drove through a part of Vermont as well. Three states in one day…COOL!

Anyways, we did lots of shopping where I scored some cool shirts and more crafts supplies I don’t know where to put. I have a problem..LOL! Hit up The Cheesecake Factory (which I have never been to and it was very good), took this fun photo booth picture up top and snagged this super cute silver owl at Target. Fun day but long and Amtrak kinda sucks! =P

Feeling a bit under the weather this week, so that’s it for now but I will do a freebie soon. I’m working on some new papers. More soon.

Fun Finds

I’ve only been back to work 2 days and I’ve probably worked 40 hours already! Blah, blah, blah…ever get tired of yourself complaining about the same thing? LOL =P

Anyways, here’s a few highlights I forgot to mention yesterday. I got some really cool things when I was in Chicago. Picked up a few nice shirts at Macys, this funky LOVE bag with cool pockets (on sale too), 2 awesome Chicago tshirts and super cool breakfast cereal icon shirt.

Today would have been my grandfather’s birthday…so Happy Birthday Poppy! I’m thinking of you and miss ya. =)

Back Home

Back from Chicago and trying to settle back into things. Had a great time although it was super HOT but it was hot here in NYC too from what I heard! I think we walked about a bizzilion miles but ate tons of good food (hot dogs, pizza and more pizza – deep dish)! Not sure how I did it but I think I gained like 7lbs in 4 days! The diet really needs to start tomorrow.

Anyways, will post pictures once I go through them -we have 500 of them. I’ll fill you in tomorrow about all the adventures and CHA. So nice to go away but so nice to be home. Can’t wait to sleep in my own bed tonight!

Chicago & Freebie

Packing last minute stuff for our trip to Chicago. I’m excited about the trip and nervous too but it should be fun. Seems like it might be super hot there too. Gotta love summer – NOT! Anyways, I’m sure I’ll have lots to fill you in on when I get back and hope some pictures. I leave you with a freebie to hold you over. Enjoy!

Damn Yankees

Since this week is all about baseball with the All Star Game in NYC it seems fitting I attended one of my all time favorite musicals, Damn Yankees. It’s not about The Yankees per say but definitely about baseball. Sean Hayes from Will & Grace and Jane Krakowski from 30 Rock are the leads and they were pretty damn good. Still singing “You gotta have heart…miles and miles of heart…” and “Whatever Lola Wants….Lola Gets”.

Speaking of baseball I’m working on finishing up a baseball kit called Hey Batter. So to preview it here’s a freebie to enjoy. Hope to get it done by Tuesday but we’ll see.

Anyways, not all that chatty tonight. Trying to pack for Chicago and get everything together….we leave on Thursday. I’m excited about going and about attending CHA. Just need to make it through 3 work days this week. I’ll try to post before I leave and if anyone out there is going to CHA drop me a line =)

Supply Swap?

So I know we are all about digital but I came across this blog post and thought it was a fabulous idea. Basically gather some of your old REAL scrap supplies that are scraps or things you don’t want and swap with someone. The purpose is to recycle what you have and make someone else happy and inspired to do something creative. I’ve been cleaning out my closet lately and have many things I don’t want but don’t know what to do with. Anyways, is anyone interested in a trade? If so let me know and I can figure out who swaps with who. I thought it would be fun and plus I LOVE MAIL! =)

This, That & Then Some

I have been a bad blogger according to some of my friends….SORRY! Seems once I blog it’s either a lot or a little. Oh well I’m trying not to stress over things lately and enjoy some time off and resting here and there.

Weekend was nice with some cleaning and laundry. We watched the fireworks down by the river in NYC on Friday night. I realized I’m not that big into fireworks as I once was when I was a kid. It was raining and there were tons of stupid people all around me drinking, smoking and well just being stupid! Since we are 1 block away from the main viewing area of the fireworks it would be silly to stay home and watch on tv but next year I might think about it. LOL!

Saturday we spent the day hanging with our niece, nephew and the family in NJ. Poor Jackson has poison ivy all over his face and arms but he is taking it like a real trooper though. We had fun and watched them Saturday night. While they were asleep John and I played Wii. Love tennis and bowling but it’s tiring. My arm is still killing me. I also had the chance to play around with my stamps too. I realized why I stopped using stamps – too much cleaning is involved. I swear I spent more time cleaning off my stamps and area then I did actually stamping.

So yesterday I stubbed my toe so badly I think I may have broke it! I didn’t think it was that bad but it hurt all night and today it’s completely bruised and hard to walk on. I’m just hoping it gets better and goes away. I really don’t want to have to go to the doctor. I’m sick of the doctor!!!

On a final note special birthday shout out to my friend Kelly’s twin girls – Brianna & Corinne who turn 3 today as well as my friend, Dan!! Happy Birthday!
