Shea It Ain’t So

I can not put into words how sad, disappointed and disgusted I feel today. I watched, I routed and I believed all season up until the very end but the Mets couldn’t pull it off for the last season at Shea. I am truley sad and I’ll admit it tears filled my eyes before. It’s a sad day for our Mets household.

Owl Cookies

The only highlight of my day was found in the grocery store at lunch: owl cookies! The package alone is adorable but the cookies look like owls and cats. So cute! part of me doesn’t want to eat them cause that seems odd. LOL!

Hey Jude…Move

I was thinking to myself today that I hadn’t seen any celebrities lately. I decided to go for a quick walk around the block of work and as I got around the corner I noticed papporazi type photogs running around. People were stopping and I was wondering who I would see. As I rounded the corner I could see it was Jude Law and some other guy standing on the corner trying to figure out where to go. They walked in front of me and couldn’t figure out what the building was and just stood there. At this point I saw my celebrity sighting for the week and decided to head back to work feeling satisfied with an “A” lister sighting. Besides that I survived my first day back to work after vacation =)

Vintage Baby

Found this photo while looking for something and thought it was classic and had to share!! Vintage 1987 baby! Sadly the Mets lost the other night which was just bad but I almost catch a ball and got to see Davey up close at batting practice. All in all it was a good time. Photos to come soon. Going back to work tomorrow after my week off and I can’t say I’m too excited about it. Blah!

Busy Bee

I’ve been off the past few days and we have been super busy! I’m so tired and sore today from the past few days. I’ll try to catch you up though. =)

Wednesday was our 3rd wedding anniversary. We took the Staten Island Ferry over to Staten Island for a walk around. We saw the 9/11 memorial that is over there. Wonderful views and so nice and quiet! Took a water taxi over to the Brooklyn Bridge/Fulton Ferry Landing. We finally got to get some awesome ice cream from the Brooklyn Ice Cream Factory! After that we had some Gramboli’s pizza. I know ice cream before pizza? crazy! We topped off the end of the day with a brisk walk over the Brooklyn Bridge. A lot for one day I know!?

Thursday we both took care of same business things and decided to tackle Governors Island on Friday. Governors Island is pretty big and amazing to see. We rented bikes for free and took a ride around the island. I haven’t been on a bike in years and it was a lot of fun to put the peddle to the metal again. Maybe a bike is in my future? Not sure in this city but it sure is fun to be a tourist in my own town sometimes.

Saturday we spent the day in NJ seeing the family. The kids are a blast and after walking over a bridge and biking riding it’s VERY hard to keep up with them!! LOL! I need to get in shape to do that on a regular basis. =P

Today, I’m trying to catch up on things. Been scrapping and designing. Had to archive tons of files to make room. Also I spent way too much money on an online auction for Dani Mogstad’s whole digi collection. I think of it as an investment though not a big purchase!

Just watched the Primetime Emmy’s before and they made me laugh. Have another busy day tomorrow as we are heading to Shea for our last Met’s game. We have really good seats and will be going early to see batting practice. Hoping to meet or see Davey Wright up close. Yum!!

Anyways, that’s a lot of stuff I just threw at ya. Be back in a few days when things return to normal.

3 Years

Happy Anniversary to my pea pod partner! We are celebrating our 3rd anniversary today. Going to take a ride on the ferry and hopefully get some good pictures. More soon!

Lenka

Totally digging this new artist, Lenka that I found on itunes Download of the Week. Check her out!

Weekend Roundup

Feeling under the weather today and we even had to cancel plans to see family. Bummed I didn’t get to see the kids but there is next weekend.

I tried to get some stuff done on the computer and was “busy” for a few hours. But after awhile I realized I had accomplished nothing and was basically staring at the screen! I’m trying to take advantage of the second wind I have but not sure how long it will last for.

Only have 2 days of work this week since I’m taking off a few days since it’s our anniversary. I think we decided to take a trip to Governor’s Island. We try to do NYC stuff on our anniversary so hopefully will get to enjoy that.

Got some more GREEN paint in the mail the other day. Hopefully I can do some more canvases while I’m off so I can hang some stuff up in my office.

Watch some of the Mets game today. Davey hit 2 homeruns which was such a waste since they ended up LOSING! They better win when we see them on the 22nd for Towel Night =P

Not much else new here. Hoping to feel better soon and I’ll share some layouts soon =)
